Role Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Medical Writer/ Principal Medical Writer to join their small, specialist team of medical writers at their prestigious healthcare comms agency. The role covers a full spectrum of commercials (from creative to high science work), so will appeal to those looking for a diverse and challenging role. The successful candidate will ultimately lead the scientific writing team for the agency and at that stage will be offered profit share.

Candidates must have
- Science, medical or pharmacy Masters degree or PhD in relevant discipline
- At least five years’ experience of writing and managing scientific content in an agency environment
- Proven experience in medical writing in relevant organisation(s)
- Experience with range of scientific document types with a demonstrated ability to produce high quality scientifically and medically accurate reports
- Strong proofreading, attention to detail and ability to review and quality check documents for scientific/technical accuracy
- Knowledge of guidelines for EMA and MHRA as well as relevant codes of practice, including ABPI
- Proficient with medical and regulatory approval platforms, including Veeva PromoMats
- Previous line management experience in a healthcare agency setting
